Former UraMin Team to List Congo Potash Project on
TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Australia-listed Elemental Minerals, which owns the Sintoukola potash project in the Republic of Congo, said on Thursday it aims to list on the TSX August 16 in a C$53-million initial public offering.
BMO Capital Markets and Renaissance Capital will lead the syndicate of underwriters for the offering, the company said.
“This listing on the TSX and this very successful raising is a major achievement for the company and indicates the quality of the Sintoukola project and the support from our investors in the current market conditions,” said Elemental MD Iain Macpherson, the former COO of Namibian uranium miner UraMin, which Areva bought for $2.5-billion in 2007.
Former UraMin CEO Ian Stalker is also an Elemental director.
